A Plague Tale: Requiem Game Length Revealed #Plague #Tale #Requiem #Game #Length #Revealed Welcome to Americanah Blog, here is the new story we have for you today:
Asobo Studio’s A Plague Tale: Innocence was released in 2019. The story of the two orphans Amicia and Hugo was really heartfelt. Despite the not-so-good gameplay, It received praise for its storyline from critics and fans all over the world. While speculations were going on regarding a new entry, Asobo delivered by announcing A Plague Tale: Requiem, a sequel to the first game.
A Plague Tale: Requiem was announced last year at E3 with a reveal trailer. A common issue many people had with the first game was the completion time. The story campaign lasted for about 10½ hours, and around 16 hours if you target a 100% completion rate.
A Plague Tale: Requiem Game Length will be Longer than the First
Asobo Studio’s Lead Level Designer, Kevin Pinson while talking to PLAY Magazine (Issue #19) via MP1st, assured that the sequel will be longer than the original game. To be more precise, without any fillers the game will take about 15 to 18 hours to complete.
‘It’s about pacing, there’s no filler, there’s no trying to make it longer because we needed to. Our publisher Focus Interactive encourages us to do the length that we want to do for the game for the story we want to tell. So we’re not aiming for a specific amount of hours. This is not something that we take into account when we first design the game. We are a small team of 70 people so we have to be really drastic about our choices.’
This is really good news as sometimes publishers ask the developers to make the games longer just for the sake of it. It is very refreshing to see Focus Entertainment has provided the developers with the freedom to create what they want.
About the Game
A Plague Tale: Requiem will act as a direct sequel to the previous game. Although life appeared to return to normal after Amicia and Hugo defeated a deranged Grand Inquisitor to halt the rat plague that Hugo had been able to control owing to a bloodline curse, it doesn’t appear that everything has been resolved.
The story will revolve around them trying to find a permanent cure for Hugo to stop the dangers that lie. That’s all we know about the main storyline so far.
The game will release on October 18, 2022. It is available for pre-order and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. In even better news, it will also launch on Xbox Game Pass on Day 1 of its release.
